Nouvelle-Aquitaine, and in the Gironde department in particular, are dotted with lakes... Lacanau's lake is absolutely peaceful, Biscarrosse's is so restful, Cazaux's is insanely tranquil or Carcans' is extremely authentic.
Some of the areas are unknown little paradises: the Grande Escourre or the Moutchic, the "Eaux qui rient" beach, the Marina de Talaris, the Broustasse or Maguide (between the lake and the Golf course of Biscarrosse).
